Eligibility
Membership in AAUW and its branches is open to anyone (male or female) with at least a 2-year college degree. Most of our branch members are from local communities of south Dallas, Duncanville, DeSoto, and Cedar Hill, but everyone is welcome. Our branch also welcomes any friends who are interested in helping with our programs but are not eligible to join AAUW.
We encourage all people who are interested in equity for women and girls to join us: even if you cannot take an active role, your dues help national AAUW in its many important projects.
Dues Information
The AAUW fiscal year is from July 1 through June 30. Dues for the 2020-2021 year are
$75, which includes $59 to national, $13 to Texas AAUW, and $3 to the branch. National dues will be increasing by $3 a year for the next several years. If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, a large portion of the national dues can be deducted as a charity contribution.
New memberships and renewals can be done online at the AAUW.org website by credit card, or you can contact our branch treasurer and pay by check or cash. See details on sub-page Dues Payment Options
